The EMD SD40-2 is a 3,000-horsepower (2,200 kW) C-C diesel–electric locomotive built by EMD from 1972 to 1989. The SD40-2 was introduced in January 1972 as part of EMD's Dash 2 series, competing against the GE U30C.

It became SBD 8056 in January 1983 and later CSX 8056, Class SD40-2, in April 1986. It was rebuilt as 4024, Class SD40-3, in 2011. 8060, Class SD40-2, was built in September 1979, #786208-21, FN 786208-21, as SCL 8060.

Ex Conrail GP40-2 proudly leads CSX general freight Q370 eastbound along the connection from 58th Street en route to South Philly Yard. CSX B75621 crosses Sandy Creek. CSX B75621 heads northbound.

Model by Norfolksouthern37 textures by Josh Snow CSX SD40-2 (Seaboard Phase 2c1 in Seaboard System paint) numbers: 8180-8241 Includes 4 different weathered skins. Nice Locomotive but texture quality could be improved but definitely worth a buy since there is not a lot of seaboard Locomotives!

Electro-Motive SD40 Diesels 0010 was built by in June 1966, #31799, FN 7902-1, as Gainesville Midland Ry 10. It became SBD 0010 in January 1983 and became CSX Transportation 8300, Class SD40, in April 1986.
