To be awarded the National or Foundation Welsh Baccalaureate, or Welsh Bacc. for short, a learner needs to complete all elements of the wheel below. National Welsh Bacc is awarded at a Pass grade when learners achieve all elements of the wheel at an A* to C grade.

Describe and explain the impact of the proposal on children and young people. The revised Welsh Baccalaureate (Welsh Bacc) was introduced for teaching from September 2015. The Welsh Bacc is a composite qualification, based on a Skills Challenge Certificate (SCC), which is graded, and other supporting qualifications.
The SCC is equivalent in size to a GCSE (at levels 1 and 2) or an A level (at level 3). To be awarded the SCC, learners must achieve all four components. The qualification grade is calculated based on the aggregation of the component scores and is graded as follows:
