2013年7月24日 · From on-line auctions I now have one Daiwa SF 706, and a SF 708 w/2 extra spools. They seem to be one of those quality products offered at decent prices way back then. I'd like to know the years of manufacture - both reels have Japan stamped on the foot.

2012年12月18日 · In answer to your second question: Your Daiwa SF 706 has the pawls correctly set for right hand wind. I have all of my SF 706 and SA System One 456 reels setup for left hand wind (and SF 708's and SA 789's for that matter), and the pawls are exactly opposite of your photo. Like Carl, I love these reels.

2011年11月10日 · The Daiwa SF 706 is very nice. Howerer, his rounding foot causes problems when it is mounted on some fly rod. I would be happy to know the different fly rods that you use with this fly reel .

2015年4月15日 · Awhile back, I posted a picture of a Daiwa SF 706 on my 7'10 Conolon Fanwing 411. The rod looks great with this setup. As a comparison, here's a picture of a Ryobi 355 on the same rod. I think it looks great, too. As an experiment, I paired the Ryobi with my Heddon 10 bamboo rod, and it seems to me like a winning combo.

2007年9月3日 · The SF 708 and 706 were made by Daiwa for Scientific Anglers and became their System One reels, with the major difference being ventilation holes on the back of the frame. The System One spools and Daiwa SF-70x spools interchange, the Lochmoor-S spools do not interchange with the SF -70x spools, which is my only complaint about either reel.

2022年3月30日 · Clones, at least on the inside. Left side is an SA system one 4-5-6 and on the right a Daiwa SF 706. Both made in the same factory with identical checks and interchangeable spools, but different porting, paint, handle, and the Daiwa doesn't have a counterbalance.

Not to say that they aren't, but I would have thought to have seen the number associated with those made in Reddich Daiwa's.
