2013年10月17日 · All Type IX boats have lower maneuverability compared to Type VIIs and perform comparably worse while submerged. Submerged evasion in a Type IX is a real nail-biter. Since range is what defines the Type IX, I would go for either the IXC or hold out for a IXD2. Likewise, the second stern tube is a compensation for the lower maneuverability.

2007年8月5日 · The type IX is the long range much larger U-boat used to sink ships in the South Atlantic. Both have their advantages the type IX is much larger and in my opinion it is way cooler looking. The type VII is faster newer and in SH3 you can sink more ships due to the fact that all missions are in the North Atlantic.

2023年11月5日 · Installation wise LSH is much simpler, especially compared to manual GWX install. On the other hand you can also download pre-moded GWX OneAlex edition which includes everything, you just unzip and run, but the downside is you won't be able to tweak much. Well GWX is old uggly and totally outdated, you better go for LSH 2022.

2024年1月8日 · SH3 has more different uboat types and ships to encounter yet, but most likely that will also change with mods (Ship pack is in development) and the final release (Type IIs, new Type VII(X)s and the announced DLC (Type IX) if it (hopefully) comes out later.

2011年3月16日 · I thoroughly enjoy the IX, as the range and loadout allows for more interesting patrols. The bigger/stronger hull means it can go deeper than a II or VII. I can get my II down to about 140m, my VII to about 200m, and the IX to about 240m before they start taking damage.
