Silent Hill 3 Original Soundtracks was released in Japan on July 7, 2003, by Konami Music Entertainment, Inc. The soundtrack contains music from Silent Hill 3, composed by Akira Yamaoka.

"Breeze ~ In Monochrome Night" and "Dance with Night Wind" are edits without narration. Special Mini CD disc which was bundled with first copies of Japanese PS2 versions of Silent Hill 3. The disc has 2 unreleased tracks as well as 3 tracks from Silent Hill 3 OST.

Like Akira Yamaoka's previous two SILENT HILL scores, SILENT HILL 3 is a mix of beautiful and truly terrifying soundscapes, mixed with brilliant, layered guitar driven rock and trip-hop.

2003年5月22日 · This soundtrack and that of its immediate predecessor, Silent Hill 2, are two proverbial peas in a pod. The similarities are obvious — they both use a blend of ambient tunes and "other" music, a lot of which is rock. The nice ordering of the tracks prevents either genre from abusing the listener's ear from repetition.

SH3\'s OST strikes a great balance between the nightmarish SH1 OST and the beautifully melodic SH2 OST. In my opinion it\'s the best one to relax and just listen to; it\'s never as harsh as SH1, but never as subdued as the very scene-oriented SH2. Above all it\'s a very atmospheric, immersive album from start to finish.
