Rugby has always been one of the pillars of SM Sains Selangor (SMSS). The game was officially established in 1974 with the arrival of a mathematics teacher from Scotland, Ian F Gordon. He, single-handedly, started the rugby tradition of which paved the way to fame for our school.

This school is well known for its strong rugby prowess.
