Specifically, we examine SoP, GAD, and depressive disorders (i.e., MDD and Dysthymic Disorder) over time following CBT treatment in childhood for SAD, SoP, or GAD. We hypothesized that youth with SoP and GAD would evidence increased risk for later depressive disorders compared to youth with SAD, consistent with the multiple pathways model.

Analyses of covariance (ANCOVA) examined differences in somatic complaints by principal diagnosis and presence/absence of individual anxiety disorder diagnoses (SAD, GAD, SoP). Correlations evaluated relationships between physical symptoms and anxiety severity, impairment, and treatment-related improvement.

2010年5月5日 · The present study examines the construct validity of separation anxiety disorder (SAD), social phobia (SoP), panic disorder (PD), and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in a clinical sample of children. Participants were 174 children, 6 to 17 years old (94 boys) who had undergone a diagnostic evaluation at a university hospital based clinic.

Sensitivity ranged from 75% (parent rated social anxiety) to 79% [child rated Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)]. Specificity, ranged from 60% for child-rated GAD to 88% for parent rated social anxiety. Parent-child agreement was moderate, and each informant provided unique information contributing to most diagnoses.
