2002年12月26日 · I re-profiled an SRK to an included-angle of about 25 degrees. Total time to a polished edge was about 3 hours. I used a course Carborundum stone for the re-profiling and a progression of finer-grit stones to remove wire-edge and grind marks. Preliminary polishing done with a rough-surface leather strop loaded with 600-grit abrasive powder.

2024年4月20日 · Normally I sharpen this beater SRK with a two plate progression shown here. 140 grit diamond plate bevel then a DMT Fine apex. As you can see the 140 grit stone fits perfectly on the shapton kuromaku case, so I use it as a stand. Today I decided to actually use the shapton stone instead of just the case.

2023年10月29日 · I reprofiled a Cold Steel SRK in 3V steel. The factory edge was about 29 degrees and uneven on each side. I decided to keep the knife and to reprofile it myself. I purchased the KME beast 50 grit diamond stone and got to work. It took several hours and a lot of oil to reduce that shoulder part of the edge bevel.
