Manufactured by Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg (MAN for short), one of the world's leading truck manufacturers, the Support Vehicles (SV) fleet replaced a range of older truck designs that had been in service with the British Army since the Cold War.

This is the SVR recovery vehicle and replaced the Foden 6×6 recovery vehicle. Some models may have added extras like stowage added and is not included. The MAN range of 4x4, 6x6 & 8x8 trucks were purchased to replace the entire range of older, Bedford, Leyland, Foden, Daf & other makes of truck in service with the British Army in 2008.
