S&W Model 63 date of manufacture - smith-wessonforum.com
2019年10月1日 · While the Standard Catalog shows your SN in the 1981 timeframe the non-pinned barrel appeared in 1982 as the 63-1. Perhaps only a letter will tell you for sure but I'd think based on the non-pinned barrel it shipped some time in 1982.
Model 63 22LR 4" issues - Smith & Wesson Forum
2009年1月4日 · My 63 was a replacement for my beloved old blue 34 four-inch, which I sold during a divorce in '79, to my considerable disappointment. The 34 wasn't quite as touchy about cleanliness and gave less trouble. One can't help but wonder that the 63 was discontinued, like the 940, another J-frame with a spotty record.
Model 63 Date of manufacture? - Smith & Wesson Forum
2017年1月14日 · Although not specifically listed, the range falls in the 1986 time frame. It actually falls within the range of a 63-1 as it is not pinned, which were discontinued in 1982. I'm guessing the -1 just didn't get stamped. Errors do happen, see this post, Missing roll mark _____
4in J Frame, What Holster for Model 63. - Smith & Wesson Forum
2011年9月29日 · I don't have a picture, but I carry my 4" 63 in a Safariland holster I bought from someone here on the forum. It is brown basketweave, and has what I believe S-land used to call a "sight-track." My brother has a 4" 63 and is left handed. I had Ray at Lobogunleather make him this carved threepersons holster for Christmas last year. It is a beauty.

Model 63 Date of Manufacture? - Smith & Wesson Forum
2011年1月27日 · Would anyone have the date of manufacture for a model 63 no dash? SN # M1463** I just got back from the range and had a blast. First time I've shot this gun in about 5 years I guess. Usually take the model 17's or Ruger Markll. Damn nice little gun for packing in a holster etc. Anyone else have a favorable opinion on these ? Thanks, JW
Model 63 Production Dates (1977 Question) - Smith & Wesson …
2013年4月6日 · Thanks. Like I said, I've wanted a 63 for a couple of years. It wasn't until today that I realized they started producing them in 1977. I thought I might have the grounds for a new search. Unfortunately I'm not usually patient enough to execute on something like that. I will probably look for a month, find one from 1981, can call that close enough.

Model 63 no dash - good gun? - Smith & Wesson Forum
2013年4月11日 · Hello, wanted to hear from forum members about this particular gun. I really wanted a 617, but felt those are too large and heavy for a .22. The J-frames seem better suited to this role. I have a chance to buy a Model 63 (no dash) that has a pinned barrel and the six-shot cylinder. What's a good price for very good condition?
