2024年11月23日 · From what I've read, unlike the older versions of the Shield/Shield Plus the Shield Plus Carry Comp have the new Holosun K/modified RMSc cut that omits the back posts. This theoretically allows Holosun K pattern optics to direct mount.

2024年7月25日 · I personally prefer 9mm and love the Shield Plus but being able to slip something like a holstered BG2.0 in my back pocket has resulted in being armed nearly 24/7 w/o having to dress around the gun. As the old saying goes, better the .380 on you than the 9mm/.45/.40/etc at home.

2025年1月3日 · Either way, I'm typically carrying my 686+ 2.5", Shield 45 PC, or Kahr K40. I don't trust or carry my the Shield Plus. My Shield 45 has been 100% except for the RSA which I plan of replacing with an aftermarket offering. The early 2014ish to 2019 Shield 1.0 and 2.0s 9mm and 40s&w had a strong reputation for trustworthiness and reliability.

2022年3月7日 · The Shield Plus variants give you the higher cap magazine. Currently the Shield Plus 3.1" PC is not offered as Optics Ready, only the 4" one is, and it includes the CT red dot. SKU 13254 is the 9mm Shield Plus 3.1" PC with 10/13rd mags, manual saftey, and fiber sights.

2016年11月25日 · I recently bought a 9mm shield used. How can I determine the year of manufacture? I picked it up for a great price! $360 and it had night sites already installed! (No safety version) Couldn't pass that deal up. It looked like new although it was clear that it had been previously shot. But I have no idea how old it is.

2019年12月28日 · The manual for all Shield pistols gives pretty much the same info regarding +P ammo as for all other S&W firearms. Use of +P may result in accelerated wear, resulting in increased need for servicing. +P+ my be dangerous.

2024年12月22日 · Remington for SD ammo. If anyone else makes it, I haven't seen it, but I don't shoot that one often anyway. I also reload for the 9mm, using Berry's 115 RN. I've got other options both a Shield from the Performance Center (9 mm) and a Bodyguard 2 (380) but the EZ is one that will go in the holster this morning.

2024年1月27日 · Some are lower-end and affordable with polymer housings, and others that are higher-end made out of aluminum.... The specific optic that S&W ships the Shield 2.0 and Shield Plus with from the factory is the polymer housing Crimson Trace CTS-1550, and that's the one many who want a higher quality red dot will bash.

2022年1月27日 · I have a gen 1 Shield and a 4” compact; both in 9mm. They are very different guns. The Shield is a true compact, the Compact is a very slightly smaller full size gun. For EDC, I carry the Shield 90% of the time. For belts, I’ve found infinitely adjustable the way to go. I have Wilderness Tactical belts, the “Instructor” model.
