When I wet formed the sheath some water got in the wrap on the blade and it started rusting in a few spots, no biggie as I want to put a patina on the blade if possible.

2005年3月19日 · The blade is marked: American Knife Co. Germany on one side. The other side says Sabre Solingen with one long/tall "S" for both words. There is a "131" below Sabre Solingen. These is a thin blood groove. The knife is missing it's tip, but would be 9 5/8" long with it.

2017年11月6日 · Sabre: A "heavy duty" grind. Not super useful for me. Scandi: OK for wood, but not really efficient for anything else IMO. Convex: I only use this on machetes or axes where I want a durable secondary edge. Chisel (Either flat or hollow): Works about like a hollow grind to me. EDC, defensive or kitchen use if you are into Japanese cutlery.

2022年5月11日 · Sabre grinds look sexy & are sturdier, but wont slice as well as full flat. Your call entirely. Hollow doesn't have to be fragile at all, depends on the thickness of the steel behind the V bevel & how aggressive the hollow grind is. A high sabre in combination with a subtle hollow is a great combination in my opinion.

2010年7月26日 · This is a small custom fixed blade Steve made about 14 years ago.It is 7.75" in overall length with a 3.5" cutting edge. I believe the steel is S30V. The handles are grooved G-10 ,and it comes with a kydex sheath.It is unused. Asking $240 shipped in CONUS.
