2010年10月12日 · I happened to see a Sabre 42 for sale in the same price range as the IP 35 and 38s I've seen. The Sabre is the shallow draft edition and the space and layout seem very comparable to the IP38. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts on comparing these boats or just general thoughts on the Sabre 42.
How are sabre 42's - SailNet Community
2008年4月20日 · Sabre's are well regarded, quality boats here that have very good sailing characteristics and build quality. You can look at a bunch of them on Yachtworld.com for complete specifications. the 42 is definitely capable of being double handed by a couple taking turns on watch and well suited to Caribbean cruising BUT there are TWO issues which I ...

2004年5月17日 · A while back I was discussing the Catalina 42 and the Sabre 426 with another yacht broker. Although we both agree that the Catalina 42 is one of the best value sail boats ever built, he was wrestling with how any one would buy a Sabre 426 for upwards of $450K vs a Catalina 42 at 250K or so.
Sabre 42, Tartan 40 or... - SailNet Community
2016年1月6日 · The Tartan and Sabre are good places to start. If it were me with that budget and need, I'd also consider:-Caliber 40: a bit slower, heavier than the Tartan or Sabre, but still well-made and capable-Catalina 42: In my opinion, one of the better sailing Catalina hulls. She's a good cruiser with performance.

2005年6月8日 · I am considering a Sabre 42 with the less common fin keel. I understand that 62 of the 42 model were made between 1987 and 1989, but have been unable to find much specific information or reviews on them on the net (other than one brief review on Sailnet, the original brochure and brief mentions that it was the precursor to the 425).
Sabre 42 versus J/44: why such difference in prices?
2009年3月31日 · The Sabre 42 was one of the boats I looked at and liked. Sabre is a high end production boat. IMHO, well above the Catalinas and Hunters, but substantially more expensive. I think of Tartans as a similar in quality although some are …
Bristol 41.1 vs Sabre 42cb - SailNet Community
2009年10月3日 · The Sabre's are terrifically well built boats, and will be a little roomier than the Bristol. If your choice is between these two, you've set yourself up for happiness, as they are both good boats. Let's see - J36 - 30 gallons water, 20 gals fuel Sabre 42 - 120 gal wtr, 50 gal fuel Bristol 41.2 150 gal wtr, 100 gals fuel
