Saint George or Saint George and the Dragon is a small painting by the Italian Renaissance artist Raphael, executed c. 1503–1505. It is housed in the Louvre in Paris. A later version of the same subject is the Saint George and the Dragon in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

Measuring 28.5 cm in width and 21.5 cm in height, this religious painting delineates the legendary tale of Saint George and his valiant confrontation with a dragon.

Conceived in the elegant, decorative International Gothic style, the painting was originally the center of an altarpiece dedicated to Saint George that was apparently made for the chapel of the palace of the Catalan government in Barcelona.

The art work was first painted for the court of Urbino. It depicts a Christian Roman soldier (St. George) who defended the daughter of a king that was a pagan, through stabbing the dragon. This action was said to have converted the pagan king to Christianity.
