2010年3月29日 · Re: Sako M591 any opinions? Glad to hear that you think the M591 is a great action. I ended up buying the Sako M591. Kind of interesting, it was rebarreled by GA Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor, pillar bedded, and the bolt was lapped and trued. It has their stamp on the side, so I hope it will live up to their usual accuracy.

The S491 (short), M591 (medium) and L691 (long) were introduced in '91 ish when A series was dropped. The 91's were a departure from Sako's previous practice of building actions sized to the cartridges they chamber with different outside dimensions and different bolt diameters.

2013年9月3日 · I've located a custom 240 built on a Sako M591 action that I'm thinking about purchasing. I'd just like some opinions as I've never owned a Sako. The rifle is about 90 minutes away so I've only talked to the owner and seen photos. It has the original Sako classic blond walnut stock and a Shilen #3 stainless match barrel, 1-9 twist.

It shows how to adjust trigger pull and also tells how to disassemble the bolt. I have a M591 left hand in .308 Win I built for myself some years back.

2025年2月25日 · Long shot - has anyone gotten custom DBM for an M591 or modified standard bottom metal to fit? I have a M591 action that is smooth shooting I’ve rebarreled in 6.5 Creedmoor, and it would be great to go from box feed to mag feed to start competing with it. Pic of the best 1000yd shot out of this rifle below.

2021年4月23日 · I've got a M591 .308 that had an unfortunate accident and broke the cocking piece on the Firing Pin Assembly. I've talked to Sako and Midwest, and neither had one. So i'm here looking for a lead on a Firing Pin assembly to purchase so i can get it back together again. thanks ahead of time for the help, Brian V.

Have a M591 in .243. Its a heavy barrel gun. Curious if anyone knows what the rate of twist might be. Thanks. Jared.

2017年8月18日 · SAKO M591 in need of a Bolt Guide strip retaining ring - Bolt OD ~0.685, recess for Ring is ~0.600 with a width of ~0.202. The ring itself is spring steel ~.035 thick &~0.195 wide.
