SAL 2027. Seaboard Air Line 2027 and 2028 were lightweight, streamlined Diesel-electric railcars built by the St. Louis Car Company in 1936. Electromotive Corporation supplied the 600 hp (450 kW), eight-cylinder Winton Diesel 201-A prime mover and electric transmission components.

Craig Zeenii over on Facebook made the following comment, "SAL owned two [motor cars], 2027 and and 2028, built by St Louis Car Co in 1936, both powered by eight cylinder 201-A Winton diesels. 2027 was destroyed in 1957 at a grade crossing accident; 2028 (SCL 4900) ran in Florida until the beginning of Amtrak."
