2019年4月19日 · A full grown scooter blenny is much smaller than a full grown mandarin. Mandarins when full grown and healthy are amazingly fat. I never realized until I went down to my LFS and saw a full sized spotted crawling around their 150 gallon display tank.

2022年7月30日 · The scooter blenny is the only surviving fish and has been in a QT for 8 days now. I thought copper was the cause of his change in behaviour, but it sounds like you're suggesting that brooklynella has taken hold of the scooter blenny and that is the cause of the beavhoiur changes (not eating, heavy breathing etc).

2015年10月12日 · FWIW I am a bad dad and never built a feeder. I had a Mandarin, a red scooter blenny (not a Ruby dragonette) and a pipe fish . I rarely added pods (hob refugium) and all ate frozen too, in my old 30g also I do like to feed frozen mysis, all the fish like it, corals and nem too, and Im pretty sure thats why I have live mysis in my tanks now.

2016年12月29日 · Feeding once a day will not suffice for a scooter blenny in a tank that new and that small. The digestive tract on these guys is very short. They need to eat almost constantly. If you watch they swim a few inches, examine, then eat and repeat. They do this all day. It results in thousands of pods being eaten in a day.

2024年3月7日 · Looks like a red ruby dragonet red scooter blenny, which are primarily pod eaters. Not to the same extent as mandarins, but they need a pretty heavy pod population to prey upon, or they need to be weaned onto frozen foods.
