Or there could be a faulty sector on the drive causing errors. Actually, see if chkdsk turns up any errors on the drive. Here's instructions to use chkdsk on the drive:

2020年1月25日 · You may have better luck retrieving the data by slaving it as an internal drive to another PC with Windows 10, assigning a drive letter in Disk Mgmt, then copying the data out if possible. I'll give you all possible fixes for External Drive not detected. Even if you've tried one please try it again in sequence and report back results.
