2012年3月26日 · Or you can do it Quik's way... which is probably the way every marine personal does it for real. It's a rod holder, so you got plenty of slop on the edges to catch any mishaps. IMO, use 5200 on the bare surfaces of the hole to seal the moisture, as well of the screws/bolts. That is proably more important than the hole.
New motors in, having carberator spacer gasket and idle rpm issues
2014年4月15日 · As of now I’m sure I have the carb and spacer sealed well but not confident in the seal 100%. Going to use starter spray tonight and see what happens. Then tomorrow Ill put the new gasket on and try again. I have not screwed in the idle screws since I doubled up the base plate gasket. Going to try that tonight as well.

2015年3月18日 · We had a shaft seal cutting tool where I worked before retiring. It was basically an arm with a razor blade on a cutting board, but it made the cut at 45 degrees and did a really nice cut.

2012年11月16日 · So removing the screws was easy. Only about half of the deck plate screws still "bite" the deck flange below. Filling with 5200 or epoxy and re-drilling/setting those holes is part 2 of this project. With the covers off, the tanks looked surprisingly good--to my untrained, amateur eye. Filthy dirty.
