The Sega Mouse was released in 1993 in order to provide support for games that are easier to play with this type of controller, like point-and-click adventure games. It was released in Japan and Europe using an identical shape model, only differing by the colors of the buttons (blue in the JP version and red in the EU's).

There are two variants of the mouse: Mega Mouse is the American version, while Sega Mouse is the Japanese and European version (yes, they got the names backwards for the mouse).

Very ergonomically sound mouse to sample the delights of the many sims as the creators intended. Sits comfortably in the hand with a nice black and blue finish in keeping with the Mega Drives colour scheme. Brand new. Includes mouse mat. Indentation on reverse of box with a tear on top flap. Slight discolouration.
