2017年3月1日 · Seroquel or by its generic name Quetiapine is a wierd drug, I believe its given in high doses for bi polar I believe but the side effect is drowsiness. Here in Canada its often prescribed in low doses as a non addictive sleep aid.

However at low doses (not sure of the exact range off the top of my head, I can try to check and edit a more specific answer in when I get home from work tonight) it primarily acts as an antihistamine, it's also still very sedating at even 25mg for most people.

When I'm feeling distressed, then I just recommence it for a short period until I see improvement, then wean myself back down - i.e., 25mg then reduce to 12.5mg for a few nights to a week, then stop. Very rarely do I need to take time off work. Usually only need to take it for a week or two.
