SFSFC has posted its US Federal Form 990 and California State Form 199 informational filings on our Financial Statements page for the corporation’s fiscal year beginning April 1, 2022 and ending March 31, 2023. At the November 19, 2022 SFSFC Board of Directors meeting, the board welcomed two new members and one member stood down.

SMOFcon is an annual convention that focuses on the organisation of science fiction conventions. The first SMOFcon took place in 1984, and most have taken place in the United States. SMOFcon typically attracts 100-150 attendees, and usually occurs in the first weekend of December, though other dates have been known.

SFSFC organizes events to promote the education and understanding of science fiction and fantasy art and literature in all of its forms. SFSFC operated the 1993, 2002, and 2018 World Science Fiction Conventions, the 2000, 2011, 2013, and 2022 Westercons, the 1998 and 2009 World Fantasy Conventions, and other SF/F-genre conventions.
