The Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) is a special forces unit of the British Armed Forces. The SFSG was formed officially on 3 April 2006 to provide support to the Special Air Service, the Special Boat Service and the Special Reconnaissance Regiment on operations.

The Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) was formed in 2006 and is based around a core component of members of the 1st Battalion, Parachute Regiment (1 PARA), with additional troops from the Royal Marines and the RAF regiment. 2024年6月14日 · The SFSG is a `Tier 2´ tri-service unit comprised of personnel from all three branches of the Armed Forces, Army, Navy and Air Force. It is composed of personnel from the 1st Battalion Parachute Regiment (1 PARA), a Commando Company from the Royal Marines and a flight platoon from the Royal Air Force Regiment.

Paras in the SFSG provide continuing support to SAS and SBS operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some notable Parachute Regiment operations include: 2 PARA, as part of 16 AA Bde, took part in the NATO operation to gather and destroy the weapons of ethnic Albanian groups in Macedonia.
