Definetly take the second skin off, if the surface has been breached, it can promote infections rather than prevent it. If you have more second skin you can definitely re-apply for a couple days if you want to, or you can let it heal the old school way like others are suggesting, just a personal preference at this point.

Second skin aka saniderm aka tegaderm all function the same, by keeping moisture out of the wound/tattoo while still being breathable for some air to get through. If there is moisture trapped, then it's best to remove the saniderm and either have it reapplied (i f you know what you're doing) or take it off completely and let dry heal

Hopefully you’ll get some form of second skin to help with the healing process! Sweat can be a cause for an infection, so I would just chat with your artist about how they feel. Maybe it’s worth it to postpone the tattoo until you have some time off from practice!
