Acute kidney injury is a common complication in critically ill patients, and hybrid techniques including sustained low-efficiency dialysis/diafiltration (SLED-f) are being increasingly utilised in intensive care units.

We report on a program of sustained low-efficiency daily diafiltration (SLEDD-f) delivered autonomously by ICU nursing personnel, and benchmark solute clearance data with recently published reports that have provided dose-outcome relationships for renal replacement therapy in …
Sustained low-efficiency diafiltration is superior to hemodialysis in ...
SLEDf is a novel hybrid renal replacement technique that provides sustained HD (>8 h versus 4 h in conventional HD) and continuous blood purification and improves removal mid-sized and large molecules from the plasma by combining dispersive and convective clearance modes.

Outcomes of sustained low efficiency dialysis versus continuous …
2015年8月4日 · Sustained low efficiency dialysis (SLED) is increasingly used as a renal replacement modality in critically ill patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) and hemodynamic instability. SLED may reduce the hemodynamic perturbations of intermittent hemodialysis, while obviating the resource demands of CRRT.

Objective: To study the efficacy and safety of sustained low-efficiency diafiltration (SLEDf) versus hemodialysis (HD) for patients with wasp stings who developed stage III acute kidney injury (AKI). Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of consecutive patients who developed AKI following wasp stings.
Combines diffusive and convective transport using a high-flux filter, a high ultrafiltration rate, countercurrent dialysate and replacement fluid. The combination is theoretically useful because it results in good removal of both large and small molecular weight solutes. Replacement fluid can be administered either pre or post filter.
