If I restart and try to install again, it might run for 5 minutes or 20, but the same speed issue will occur after some period of install time.

2020年5月5日 · CIAs are a single file containing all game files, like a ZIP. Extracting the files requires management of the filesystem database. Unpacking a bunch of tiny files slows down the process, as the install has to pause and update the filesystem between every file, so games with a lot of tiny files will slow down that much while processing them.

2025年3月15日 · Using a CIA from the same card and installing to the same card is always going to be slow, extracting data from the source to the same same destination is slow on most devices. Whether FBI is optimized fully is another question.

An USB 3.0 card reader is needed if you want to take benefit of class 10 cards that support high read speeds, which is great when backing-up stuff or putting files on it from your PC.

2025年2月17日 · BBB on O3DS is slow as hell, but that is too much perhaps. It took around 10h for me to install 30GB of CIAs on a completely legit Samsung EVO Class 10 microSD with adapter. This same card tops the USB2 speed on my laptop at around 30MB/s.

2021年2月26日 · Installing through FBI is really slow due to the 3DS SD slot being capped at around 2MB/s, you could use Custom-install to install CIAs from your pc to your SD card which would make things a lot faster (assuming your SD card is fast at writing operations)
