2023年9月29日 · Sony was the one that had them develop a Sly 4 game, and according to Kevin Miller (voice actor of Sly), Sanzaru would fly him out multiple times to do voice work for new levels because they were apparently writing and developing at the same time (unlike Sucker Punch that had a full story/plan from the jump).

Dont care to play as an ancestor, just add awesome tricks to obtain through clue bottles and such like Sly 1-2. Sly 4 was so underwhelming. I think going back to the more linear style of Sly 1s level system would be great for the franchise.

2020年7月3日 · Sly 3 built directly off the ending of Sly 2. The actions of Sly 2 had enormous fight, and affected everything that happened in Sly 3 from story to gameplay to the characters. Sly 4 feels like they walked everything back and replaced it with confusing, heavily compressed arcs that didn't make sense. Penelope is another example of this.

2022年5月8日 · Sly 4 also brings back a lot of mechanics, but I think loses a bit of what made them special, while also doing some better. I like the new treasure collecting because it's quick, I don't need to enter the hideout or come back once my job is over, etc. Something like the bottles is done a bit worse to me though, mostly from an execution standpoint.

Sly 4 is still pretty fun, if not as well-written as the other games. Just be prepared for frustrating Sixaxis motion control BS (that you can't turn off) at times. Sly was looking for closure on proving himself worthy of the Cooper name and making his ancestors proud.

2023年3月7日 · Gameplay: This is going to be the tutorial section of the game where you can refamiliarized with Sly's moveset while also getting introduced to a few new abilities and gadgets Sly has picked up since becoming a secret agent for Interpol like his cane being retrofitted with the shock pistol tech allowing Sly to magnetize things and stun enemies.

wait so the save hack breaks the safe? Couldn't you collect the bottles before you use the hack? Or does it break every safe in the game? (I went through all the safe rewards and I can live without them tbh, the safe rewards in sly 2 where way cooler)

Sly’s gameplay is also pitiful in Sly 4, he feels way too heavy and there’s no way to replicate the fluid movement from the first 3 (especially 2&3) games. I think Sly 4 also has as many alternative gameplay styles as Sly 3, except they are no longer fluid and fun to play, and the characters regurgitate cringe quips the entire time.

It's been awhile since I've played the game but from a gameplay perspective, I remember it being mostly fine and it played like Sly 2 and Sly 3 more or less and it felt good to control. But personally I didn't like the art direction what with how they tried to bring that comic-like style into full rendered 3D, the characters just looked very ...

2020年6月26日 · One Sly 4 was enough and time will be wasted trying to explore an alternative approach. Furthermore, I don't even care about what Thieves in Time did with the story anymore because a sequel can fix some plot issues and answer for the cliffhanger about Sly in Egypt (or at least DLC was originally meant to do so.)
