It's pretty clear that EEAAO takes elements and pieces from each genre and strings them together. And this makes the story so original and authentic to me that I can't even compare it to any other I've seen. His commentary on nihilism and the way each character has a particular view of life is magnificent.

Yea, very annoying that it seems impossible to have a reasonable discussion about the film without tribalism from either side. To be honest, the thing that resonated with me the most is message of the film.
