Defect-induced electronic structures on SnSe surfaces
2019年6月18日 · Using a low-temperature scanning tunneling microscope (STM), we investigated the role of atomic-scale defects of a cleaved SnSe(100) surface on the electronic structure around them. We found in empty-state STM images that Sn vacancies induce dark contrast around them, proving their role as a p-type dopant.

The results depict that SnSe nanorod-based humidity and photosensors have good long-term stability, are highly sensitive and have fast response and recovery times.

2023年5月24日 · Here, we present a combined experimental and theoretical study of the atomic structure and electronic properties of epitaxial SnSe structures grown on a metallic Au (111) substrate, forming almost defect-free 2D layers. We describe a coverage-dependent transition from a metallic β -SnSe to a semiconducting α -SnSe phase.

Comparing study of picene thin films on SnSe and Au(1 1 1) surfaces
2020年4月1日 · Here, we applied STM/STS to investigate thin films of picene molecules on a semiconductor substrate, SnSe, under ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) conditions. By comparing the structural and electronic properties of picene films on SnSe and on Au (1 1 1), it is found that the interaction between picene thin film and SnSe is weakened.
