Sobeys prices have become more competitive (more likely superstore stopped having sales) Sobeys bakery has leapfrogged Superstore for bread and actual butter baked goods. The prepped meal/deli stuff seems to be slowly catching up too. Highlighting local products is way better. Low sensory is so nice!

I am interested in joining Sobeys/Safeway as an entry-level retail associate (grocery clerk, cashier or a similar position). I have experience in clinic administrative assistance and restaurant serving. I am finishing my bachelor's degree and will graduate next year.

2023年4月15日 · I think it's similar to sobeys pricing. Definitely more expensive than flyer shopping or discount grocers (no frills, freshco, etc.) But I don't think voila pricing is artificially inflated relative to Sobey's. Quality is top notch (meats and produce) and any issues are rectified promptly via a refund.

2022年6月23日 · Don't forget Sobeys' fancy new "premium" rebrand, Panache. 🙄 Superstore will always be my go-to. I love the quality of most PC products and actually find them cheaper than Sobeys, better quality meats, fewer expired items on shelves, etc. And I do love my Optimum Points! I only go to Sobeys if I'm short on time, since it's closer to me.

2022年4月29日 · Currently, Sobeys is the most expensive of those three, and Metro is generally the least expensive. In my experience (YMMV), Metro generally has the best meat of the three, and Sobeys the best produce. I wouldn't buy meat from Loblaws even if it was the only store in town (except packaged stuff like bacon or cold cuts).

2023年1月8日 · Sobeys/Safeway don’t know what they are anymore. Sobeys wants to be No Frills (FreshCo) and Safeway is trying to be Whole Foods. It’s sad. I loved Sobeys. Now I feel skeezy walking into either. At least SaveOn still knows who they are.

Within the Pattison Group, Choices is fully upscale, similar to Pete’s in Halifax, and Nesters is a smaller market store (don’t think I’ve ever shopped there except for Whistler.) Save -on Foods is way overpriced, kinda like Sobeys/Safeway, such that I significantly prefer the Loblaws options. Nothing in the 4th picture is a grocer.
