2016年5月3日 · The University of Nairobi Senate has proposed drastic measures aimed at reforming the Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU). This comes after the Senate recommended the appointment of a committee to review the SONU constitution following a meeting held on April 27th, 2016.

SONU is the students body mandated to run students’ affairs at the university of Nairobi. Every year, students at UoN take part in a voting process that will see various leaders chosen to run the student’s affairs in various positions within SONU.

Among the SONU executive officials present were Zack Kinuthia, Chairman, Edith Mwirigi, Secretary General and Jane Chege, Treasure. The new officials promised that while in office they will ensure a leadership of integrity, accountability and equality. The University wishes the newly elected SONU officials success as they serve UoN students.
