Aluminum die-cast is used for the frame. A 4 cm balanced drive type tweeter is installed in the high range. Natural silk is used for the diaphragm, and by coating it with a special resin developed in-house, it has appropriate rigidity.

2012年11月1日 · The Sony STR-V4 is excellent sounding as it has no nasty op-amps unlike the V5, V6 & V7. Not that all op-amps are bad, but back then not so great. Many manufactures also wanted a 'vogue' smooth sound around 1978+ & set the treble back.

If you get your hands on one of these, be sure to get one of the matching Sony ferrite cassette decks to complete the stack. They are legendary. They sound as good as a CD, and make my vintage Pioneer deck sound like a Fisher Price record player.

2023年9月5日 · Sony STR-V4 - Built at the very end of the heyday of vintage gear. This receiver is old school, with a large transformer, discrete components and lots'o'heatsink. It's only failing IMO is the 3 gang tuner. Rescued from trash due to a death in the family. I cleaned it up and will give back or sell.

2004年3月11日 · One of the very best looking vintage receivers I have ever seen first hand. That extra long green tuner scale is a knock out. It's also the only reciever I have ever seen or heard about that had a narrow/wide FM bandwith function switch. That's something you usually only see on the better tuner only components.
