2024年12月10日 · In April of 1994, the NS locomotive paint shop at Chattanooga, Tennessee, outshopped the 4610 in its special commemorative Southern Railway paint. It was painted in classic Southern Sylvan Green and Imitation Aluminum, with black frame, trucks and fuel tank, and dulux gold (yellow) lettering and logos.

2004年7月21日 · I saw the repainted Southern 4610 rolling down the track today. Heading east to Lambert’s Point on the Ex-Virginian line. That green paint still looks pretty glossly for being on a coal train.

Thanks to a heads up posted a few posts down, I was able to capture the elusive SOUTHERN 4610. I've always wanted a shot of this unique locomotive.

My excellent son just called me to report NS #4610 (Southern Green, as all should be painted) and an Operation Lifesaver NS unit were southbound thru Forsyth Ga. about 17:00 today. Destination probably Macon Ga.
