Spike is a fire-and-forget missile with lock-on before launch and automatic self-guidance. The missile is equipped with an imaging infrared seeker. The long and extended range versions of the Spike also have the capability of "Fire, Observe and Update" operating mode (also known as Lock-on after launch (LOAL)).

The Schützenpanzer Puma (SPz Puma), meaning “ Schützen - AFV Puma ”, is a German infantry fighting vehicle (IFV), per the Panzergrenadier -doctrine, designed to replace the aging Marder IFVs currently in service with the German Army. 2014年2月20日 · The IFV is armed with 30mm MK30-2 ABM (Air Burst Munition), a coaxially mounted MG4 5.56mm light machine gun and SPIKE LR (EuroSpike) guided missile system. The vehicle is powered by a ten-cyllinder 800kW engine, which offers a maximum speed of 70km/h and range of about 600km.

2023年11月30日 · The Puma IFV also includes a missile launching system for added protection. This system can deploy various types of anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), such as the Spike-LR or the MELLS. With these missiles, the Puma IFV can effectively engage and destroy armored vehicles, even at long distances.
