Route 39 is one of the more varied state highways in the Los Angeles area. It starts right at the beach at Pacific Coast Highway (SR-1), runs along Beach Boulevard for many miles through the cities of Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Stanton, Buena Park, and La Habra only to end abruptly at the corner of Whittier Boulevard and Harbor Boulevard.

State Road 39 (SR 39) in the U.S. state of Indiana is the name of two distinct north–south highways. Located in south-central Indiana, the shorter southern section of SR 39 begins at SR 56 west of Scottsburg. It runs north and passes through Little York, then ends at an intersection with SR 250 just before reaching Brownstown.
