2023年2月22日 · Hello all, I’m going up for btz here in a week. Anybody recently go up in front up the board and have any tips or tricks to give?

Promotion to SrA is 36 months TIS + 20 months TIG -OR- 28 months TIG regardless of TIS. My math - person comes in 1 September 2021, his 36 month mark is 1 September 2024. Assuming he has the TIG of 20 or 28 months then he should pin on. If he makes BTZ then his 30 month mark is 1 March 2023 (still assuming TIG). All of that depends on his DOR and TIG for A1C.

2022年7月13日 · By itself, BTZ only brings you around $1,200 dollars extra pay over the 6 months you have the stripe early. Unless it helps you test sooner for Staff or actually gets you out of the dorms from a monetary perspective it’s not really worth it. You will likely put in more than $1,200 worth of work doing extra work or volunteering.

Going by the promotion eligibility, I should put on SrA around may 2024 and would be eligible to test for SSgt come 2025.
