2001年8月5日 · The Stanley 199 is the knife of choice for most of the guys I work with. I normally will have at least 2 or 3 Stanley's in my hand box as well as a fresh pack of blades, some of which ive had for 6 or 7 years. But I also keep an 18mm OLFA knife on me as well for more flexible work .
stanley 99 as edc - BladeForums.com
2009年2月22日 · The Stanley 199 is a great tool to have in a toolbox. I wouldn't, however, want to EDC one- unless I was in a trade where it was necessary too. I have carried a folding Sheffield utility knife on some occasions, when such a tool was percieved necessary. There is some chores, where using a disposable blade is preferable to a regular knife.

2015年8月17日 · The 199 was the first. Stanley's website says 1936. I think the 99 came out in the '50s. I prefer the 10-799 fixed model, especially when doing drywall work. I can't stand it when the blade shifts, or the stupid lock mechanism craps out and the blade gets left in …

2023年11月2日 · For heavy/dirty/hard work, I have a Stanley 199. For food there’s kitchen knives. The Classic is my true EDC pocket knife and it does everything I ask from a pocket knife. Just today I used it in the supermarket to release a couple of Coke cans from their shrink wrap.

2019年4月16日 · If you look up Stanley England it should give a time line on their company acquisitions . I think they took over Harwood, who made American style braces. This is from my memory, which is like an old rusty can, kinda leaky. Yes ! Braces are very handy, they are surprisingly fast and easy for...
The Coper legacy. - BladeForums.com
2004年10月2日 · Since September of 2022, the Classic has been my one and only ‘official’ everyday pocket knive. I really don’t use anything else but the little Classic. It’s either that or when really needed, full size tools like a real screwdriver or an old Stanley 199 for heavy duty cutting.

2018年11月3日 · I feel like sheepsfoot blades were more common on old knives. The Stanley blades took over, and the sheepsfoot knives fell out of favor. My favorite knife is a LoomFixer. Rough Rider is the only company making one now. They call it a half hawk. But honestly its hard to beat a good quality knife that uses Stanley blades.

2020年2月14日 · I just read the posts on the Stanley no.66. If you have one and need blades, Lie-Nielsen makes a no.66 bronze beading tool. They sell the blades seperate and they fit the old Stanley no. 66.
