The crew was killed on impact. The only survivors were Chakotay and Harry, who had been in the Delta Flyer.

The central disaster in this story centers around Voyager using Slipstream to make the trip in one trip lasting less than a few hours, and Voyager crashes within reasonable range of Federation space while the Delta Flyer crew ended up the Sole Survivor and completed the trip presumably within the next hour.
