2015年11月23日 · Accordingly, the present study addresses the physical association of 5.5URR with the STAT1 core promoter, the functional roles of 5.5URR to STAT1 gene expression, the in vivo association of STAT1 complexes, namely ISGF3 and GAF, with 5.5URR and the effects of IFNs on the recruitment of STAT1 complexes to 5.5URR.

These findings reveal that STAT1 promoter occupancy in macrophages is regulated such that it decreases only after initiation of the transcription cycle. This feedback control ensures the fidelity of cytokine responses and provides options for pharmacological intervention.
