2014年4月26日 · Sr5 is an electret and one of the better ones. Generally, it is considered 'below' the real electrostats from Stax, but it does have some good qualities to it. So, generally it'd be considered below hd800 too. I am sure they are pretty good, but there are likely better/different to be had from the vintage stats depending on your taste.

Whereas the 6XX’s are known to give you great mids and naturalness, the Stax SR-5’s will instead give you detail with speed and precision, and everything, I mean everything will “jump” at you.

The Stax SR-5 is an excellent earspeaker. While it has a definite family resemblance to the Lambda Pros both visually and sonically, the SR-5 is more like a comfortable, but far less efficient SR-30. The SR-5 doesn’t have a bright zone, and does an excellent job on the lower midrange, giving music adequate weight without sounding thick or slow.
