SwRI performs fuel tank and battery fire testing for road, rail and air transportation industries. We offer fire exposure testing on batteries in compliance with ECE 100 Annex 8E and GB/T 31467 3-2015, Section 7.10.

SwRI operates a 22,000 square foot full-scale, Bulk and Tactical Fuel Storage concrete-surfaced revetment capable of testing CFTs ranging up to 50,000 gallon capacity to the MIL-PRF-32233B Performance Specification as well as First Article Testing.

The SwRI tank leverages cutting-edge cryogenic technology to enable its high-capacity liquid hydrogen storage. This super-cooled, high-density fuel allows the Institute to supply large, high-power engines for longer periods of time.
