Burkitt lymphoma - Wikipedia
The most common variant is t (8;14) (q24;q32), which accounts for about 70 to 80% of cases of cases. [3] . This involves c-myc oncogene translocation from chromosome 8 to the Ig heavy chain region of chromosome 14. A variant of this, a three-way translocation, t (8;14;18), has also been identified. [13] Another variant is t (2;8) (p12;q24). [14] .

Most Burkitt lymphoma cases show the t (8;14) (q24;q32) [MYC-IGH] and less commonly the t (8;22) (q24;q11) or t (2;8) (p12;q24). The translocation is present in both the endemic African Burkitt lymphoma and in the non endemic tumor type (Europe, America, and Japan).
t(8;14)(q24;q11) TRA/MYC - atlasgeneticsoncology.org
Molecular involvement of the pvt-1 locus in a gamma/delta T-cell leukemia bearing a variant t (8;14) (q24;q11) translocation. A new case of acute lymphoblastic leukemia B-cell type with chromosomal rearrangements involving the T-cell receptor breakpoint at band 14q11.
Burkitt’s Lymphoma | New England Journal of Medicine
2022年9月21日 · The molecular hallmark of Burkitt’s lymphoma is the t (8;14) translocation of MYC from chromosome 8 to the immunoglobulin heavy-chain region on chromosome 14, in 70 to 80% of cases; the t...

The t (8; 14) chromosomal translocation occurring in B-cell
The reciprocal chromosome translocation, t (8;14), involving the heavy chain locus on chromosome 14 and the c-myc oncogene on chromosome 8 is a characteristic of the B-cell malignancies Burkitt's lymphoma and acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL).
The t(8;14) chromosome translocation of the Burkitt lymphoma
Recent molecular analyses of Burkitt lymphomas carrying the t(8;14) chromosome translocation have indicated that a dichotomy exists regarding the molecular mechanisms by which the translocations occur.

Detection of t(8;14) c-myc/IgH gene rearrangement by long …
In Burkitt's lymphoma, translocation t (8;14) (q24;q32), which involves the c-myc gene (8q24) and the immunoglobulin heavy-chain (IgH) locus (14q32), accounts for 90-95% of all chromosomal translocations. This translocation can be found in 2-5% of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
Karyotype and FISH of t(8;14) - American Society of Hematology
2018年12月22日 · This karyotype illustrates the t(8;14) which results in the juxtaposition of MYC next to the IGH enhancer element on the der(14) chromsome. The t(8;14) can also be appreciated with fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) with DNA probes specific to MYC, the centromere of chromosome 8 (CEP8), and IGH.
