Towards the end of World War II, a tracked, fully enclosed armored personnel carrier was developed under the designation M44 (T16) that was based on the M18 Hellcat. The M44 was extremely large (51,000 lb combat weight); carrying 24 infantry as well as a driver, bow gunner and vehicle commander.

The T16/M44 became the only very large fully tracked APC the Army ever had, never adopted, but helping define the bases of future APCs, namely the M75 APC which was based on the M44. The six M44 were decommissioned in 1947 and quickly dismantled.

I have had a lot of people asking how to mod their APC, and here one that I have tried. Replace R42 with a 500ohm resistor and connect R41 and R101 together from the "right side", when viewing text right way on PCB.
