Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams (MCOTs) provide face-to-face help to people who are at risk of harm to themselves or others. An MCOT provides counseling services to people at their home, school or other location. The services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

2023年6月17日 · Wondering what the MCOT work schedule is like and if anyone would recommend switching to it while in the academy? I've heard they work 2 weeks straight except Sundays and get an entire week off but I've also heard that is not true. Can anyone confirm? I can tell you they don’t work on Sundays.

The MCOT initiative will provide a way for those in larger metro areas to still join TDCJ and become a CO and then ultimately, join the unit in their local area.
