2013年9月11日 · ADA4627-1 is my current favorite sounding JFET op-amp, though it is single, not inexpensive, and would require a DIP adapter. OPA1642 also sounds decent, is reasonably priced, and would also require a DIP adapter. For an improved, general TL072 replacement, I would suggest the OPA1642.

Since the price tends not to be different between them either, you will find many layouts calling for a TL072 when only a TL071 is really needed, simply because it's easier and more convenient to just order/buy a bunch of duals and use either both halves or one as needed, and because some layouts are much easier to do when the input and output ...

2016年8月28日 · The TL072 can get about 1V from either power rail, so a 9V supply gives you a maximum clean voltage of roughly 3.5V. That's plenty strong enough to overdrive just about anything following it. I suspect your original design used a low gain JFET, which was likely the problem and not the power supply per se.

I actually built two of these, for two different channels. The goal I would like to achieve is to split the +4dB output signal of a mixing console.

2008年8月8日 · TL072's a good opamp. There's better, but only if you 'think' so, or can find a real reason why. Somehting that draws more current [NE5532 ?] might be better or worse, and might give more voltage swing to the signal output before the rails matter being in a socket where a low current opamp [TL062].

However the just plain CP has gone out of style (and production*) so is not in the latest data sheet. TL072CP is: C temperature grade; plenty good for any room you would play P Plastic DIP package; the type most used by hobbyists for several decades
