2017年4月20日 · The difference between the TSN-3 and TSN-4 is simply that the "3" has an angled body, and the "4" is straight through. Coupled with the wide-angle 30x eyepiece, this scope gave simply THE best image of any scope of its day (mid-1980s).

2016年6月17日 · Hi, I own a TSN-3 and have met a fellow birder with the TSN-1 so we could try both side by side with the same eyepieces (The old Kowa 20-60 zoom from the 80s - best avoided, the great Kowa 30 wide - mine is current but the old ones are also very good and an Opticron SDLv2 zoom which happens to fit and in my opinion is a bit better than the current Kowa 20-60 I have also tried).

2019年8月5日 · The current 30x wide EP for the small body Kowa (including the old TSN-1/2/3/4 series) is called TE-14WD (sometimes also TSE-14WD) and has a twist up plastic eyecup. I have not removed that to check if it contains an optical window in some way but would be most astonished if it did.

2005年7月29日 · Thanks for the replies and advice. I couldn't see a TSN-1/3 skua on the link given but I've emailed them to try and get more info. I'll keep an eye on ebay, and I've found a somewhere in the states that does a case for the TSN-3 but I don't think it's stay on. As for the tripod, I'll take the advice and try some out before purchasing.

2019年8月5日 · TSN 3 is a very good vintage telescope. I owned one with a x30w and a 20-60 zoom. The 883/4 performs much much better IMO both optically and ergonomically whilst also being water / fog proof.

2007年6月14日 · Any eyepiece that fits the TSN-1,2,3 & 4 scopes will also fit any of the smaller 60mm and 66mm scopes. It's only the TSN 800 (82mm) and newer 77mm and 88mm scopes that require different eyepieces or adapters.
