The KT4YU is the Yugoslav variant of the tramcar, which were delivered to the Serbian and Croatian capitals. The last KT4s ever produced were delivered to Belgrade in 1997. Those tramcars were equipped with IGBT modules and recuperative braking and named KT4M-YUB (where B stands for Belgrade to be distinguished from Zagreb model).

Im Jahr 2020 wurden die KT4YU # 305, 308, 331, 332, 337, 340, 342 abgestellt. Im Juli 2021 wurde # 348 abgestellt. Überraschenderweise wurde im Jahr 2024 # 332 instandgesetzt und wird seit Dezember 2024 wieder im Linienverkehr eingesetzt.

Tatra KT4 is the name of a four-axle type articulated tramcar developed by the Czech firm ČKD Tatra. The first pre-production vehicles entered service in Potsdam in 1975, with the first production vehicles in 1977. A total of 1,747 units were built, with initial deliveries to East Germany (DDR) and later to the USSR and SFR Yugoslavia.

Tatra KT4 ir tramvaju modelis, kuru no 1974. gada līdz 1997. gadam beigām ražoja Čehoslovākijas rūpnīcā ČKD. Pavisam tika saražoti aptuveni 1748 tramvaju vagons.

KT4YU. Ab 1980 wurden die KT4 unter der Bezeichnung KT4YU auch nach Jugoslawien geliefert. In Belgrad ersetzten sie alle anderen Typen. In Zagreb werden sie neben älteren Typen T4YU und B4YU eingesetzt. Dort wurde ab 1986 auch der Prototyp KT4YUt mit Thyristorsteuerung erprobt. Zur Serienproduktion kam es in diesem Fall aber nicht. Tatra KT4 je jednosmjerni četveroosovinski dvodijelni tramvaj koji je spojen zglobom za lakše zakretanje. Tramvaj je projektiran za Njemačku zbog toga što tamošnje ulice nisu prilagođene tramvajima širine {2,5 m , te voze i po starim ulicama.

The next most common vehicle types are made by ČKD-Tatra, comprising a total of 95 units of T4YU with 85 matching B4YU trailers, and 51 units of the articulated KT4YU. T4YU vehicles entered service between 1977 and 1983, and KT4YU followed around 1985. The oldest units still in service are TMK 201, built in 1973 and 1974 by Đuro Đaković.

KT4 ist die Typenbezeichnung für einen Einrichtungs-Kurzgelenk triebwagen des tschechoslowakischen Straßenbahn -Fahrzeugherstellers ČKD Tatra. Zwischen 1975 und 1997 wurden insgesamt 1801 Fahrzeuge von ČKD gebaut, die in damals vier Staaten zum Einsatz kamen. KT4 steht für kloubová tramvaj (Gelenkstraßenbahn) mit vier Achsen.
