2020年12月16日 · IMAX was gorgeous, but the framing of the movie on Amazon was just awful. Not only is the composition worse, you don't get the same visual information. I was planning on seeing TENET in IMAX, but Covid ruined that plan. Is there any way to watch TENET (Or any of the other Nolan films) at home in the original 1.43:1 IMAX ratio without the crop?

2020年12月16日 · Digital is all cropped, no expanded scenes. After seeing the real 70mm IMAX version 8 times, it was kinda disappointing and i shut it off half way thru lol. Watched the IMAX blu ray last weekend on my 130" projection screen, it was awesome.

2020年9月3日 · Tenet was mixed for original 5.0 IMAX sound due to Nolan’s preference, but there’s nothing technically preventing them from mixing a 12.0 version to play with a print. I doubt anybody ever takes advantage of that tho because there’s so few 12.0-equipped IMAX film theaters (maybe 6), but it should be possible.

I have seen a few films in IMAX 70mm, but the hype for TENET was extraordinary, especially knowing that an exclusive preview of Dune 2 was included in the showing.

2021年1月9日 · Their camera systems were used in the making of Tenet which allowed Nolan to capture 65mm film in a 15perf/70mm format. The numbers specify the dimensions of the frame, and it is massive in comparison to standard 35mm film or digital sensors. Lastly, IMAX has theatres with larger screens and better audio to display these films immersively.
