2013年7月17日 · It is true that flea and tick shampoos only kill live bugs and do not treat the life cycle. And yes it is dangerous to use flea shampoo in conjunction with topical drops or any other treatment. But to make matters worse, the chemicals in ALL of the over the counter flea products are posionious and lethal. Do not use over the counter flea products.

I have Dr. Pitcairn's Natural Health book but it seems like with diatomaceous earth, essential oil mixes, homemade diet and manual tick and flea removal it would be a lot of work for me in addition to my mom duties, home educating, household and regular pet care duties.

It doesn't seem to be irritating her, only when i went to pull on it since I thought it might be a tick, but it was firmly attached to the skin.

It is important how you remove the tick from yourself or the dog. You need to do your best to get the head out. Do a search on tick bites and you will get a lot of hits on removal Etc. David

2008年6月9日 · Tonight we pulled a tick off Turbo, but the head was left behind. I sprayed disinfectant on the area, what should I look for if there's a problem? It's been a rotten month so far for ticks, we've pulled one off her every other day so I can't justify taking her to the vet for that unless it's really necessary.

2007年9月30日 · Tick disease is usually transmitted to the dog within 24-48 hours of latching on...and yes, the tick has to bite the dog in order to be killed by Frontline. I rely a lot on visual inspection to find/remove ticks from our crew.
