The Panzerkampfwagen 38 (t), originally known as the Českomoravská Kolben-Daněk (ČKD) LT vz. 38, was a tank designed during the 1930s, which saw extensive service during World War II. [3] . Developed in Czechoslovakia by ČKD, the type was adopted by Nazi Germany following the German occupation of Czechoslovakia. [3] .

It was manufactured by Českomoravská Kolben-Daněk (ČKD), which was based near the capital Prague, and called the Praga TNH-P 8-ton tank, or TNH.

The same abbreviation TNH bore a series of 50 tanks for Iran. In the final stages of export, military testing and production of spare parts, the tank was designated TNH-P (Persian). In the late 1930s, preparations began for light tank exports to Sweden.

The vehicle was powered by Praga 'EPA/2' petrol powerplant producing 150 HP which could drive the vehicle on roads at up to 26 mph with a range of about 156 miles before refuelling.
